Re: 2011 ACCEA Clinical Excellence Awards
Submissions for the 2011 round of ACCEA are now imminent.
As a professional organisation the BAETS is entitled to support candidates in
proportion to the size of our membership. The time frame for the award
process has been brought forward by ACCEA.
IMPORTANT
Any BAETS member requiring support from Mr Harrison as President:
1) Must register on the ACCEA website
2) Must sent Mr Harrison their GMC number before December 8th 2010 at the very latest!!!
The online
application to ACCEA does not have to be in until 5:00pm on Friday 11th
December 2010.

Click the link on the left entitled "employer-based (local) clinical
excellence awards". You will then be able to download the 2009 local
forms which can be used for our initial internal assessment purposes.
Here are a few unwritten guidelines,
You are unlikely to get an award within the first 10 years of
appointment as a Consultant
You are unlikely to achieve a higher award without the full
support of the Chief Executive of your Trust. In addition you should
have already obtained 5 or 6 local discretionary points.
You are unlikely to receive a higher national award within 5
years of your present national award.
