BAETS and BTA Guidelines
The BAETS National Guidelines were first published in 1999 and revised in 2003, they represent a core consensus amongst the membership of what is considered to be 'Best Practice'.
The Guidelines do not define an Endocrine Surgeon or specify who should practice Endocrine Surgery.
Following the BAETS guidleines the British Thyroid Association also issued guidelines (devised the help and consultation of the BAETS).
